    Reviewed Excellent Carrot Cake
    Handle
     |  By MizzNezz

"I totally agree with reviews! Mega star rating. I was concerned the coconut might be overpowering -- but it wasn't. Just added a nice crunch. I did follow other reviewers and did not use entire amount of glaze on cake -- but that glaze did add a nice touch. Agree...best carrot cake I've ever had!"

"Delicious! Makes a lot - neighbors loved leftovers! Show did state instant rice and that's what I used. Used beef stock instead of water. Cut brown sugar back to 1/4 cup and then added a couple Tblsp later to reduce acidity; cut ketchup back to 1/4 cup. Used 28 oz can crushed tomatoes. Added one packet Sazon Goya seasonings for the heck of ..."

    Reviewed Alton Brown's Buffalo Wings
     |  (9 people found this helpful) |  By Jo in Arlington

"Originally from Buffalo area. Nothing can beat Bar Bill's wings but Alton's cooking process is great for a baked wing. Of course I added a bit more butter & Frank's Hot sauce. I also microplaned 2 med garlic cloves and let sauce sit for 1+ hr to let flavors meld. After tossing in sauce...put wings back on rack and let sit in 200 degr ..."

"Perfect salad for these hot days! I too was concerned about the amount of lemon juice...but I followed recipe and was quite pleased. I agree waiting until serving to add lettuce. I used fresh tomatoes from my patio garden. Fantastic! This is a keeper."

"Very tasty! I also subsituted creole seasoning with Old Bay with excellent results. Neighbor came over and stated croquettes were like crab cakes. Recommended they could also be used on a bun. This recipe is a keeper. The sauce is a must as a side."

"Excellent recipe! It's a keeper. Used suggestion of thinly slicing raw potatoes, mixing throughly and baked covered at 375F for 45 minutes then uncovered and baked for approx. 30 more minutes until nicely browned on top. Used 2 cups 2% milk and 1 cup heavy cream. Added 1/2 tsp cayenne, replaced salt with seasoned salt and crumbled up some bacon...."

"Great recipe. For a twist I used Trader Joe's minature PB cups instead of choc chips. I also added 1/2 tsp salt. This recipe a keeper. I will definitely try with banana instant pudding!"

    Reviewed Simple Roasted Pork Shoulder
     |  By Jo in Arlington

"OMG. The BEST pork roast recipe! Can't believe it was so easy! Used some of the roast to make the Pork & Pappardelle Pasta. Used egg noodles instead of Pappardelle. Used only 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes as another reviewer suggested, and that was plenty of heat for us."
