    About Me

After a gap year lasting over 12 years where we resided in South wales UK. we were able to do so much travelling and exploring that the time just flew!

As from June 2011 we returned back in the beautful city of Perth West Australia, where we intend to finally retire, its lovely being near our family again.

I have been very lucky in being able to have lived in many countries since I was a small child. Moving to what was then East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) I guess my parents had the travel bug - and that was the first of many moves which included, Germany, America, East Africa, where I met my Cornish husband 50 years ago and of course Australia where we initially spent 36 years.

Our two pet cats, Sita and Rama,(brother and sister) they have been ruling our household since November 08... they are delightful, they are Bengals

I have loads of interests everything from Travel, historic places and buildings, Cooking and boating... The l ist seems to just go on.

My problem is that I kind of forget my age and want to do so much, I am going to be really angry if I die before I get to finish what I set out to do - joking apart, aint life great! - even with all the ups and downs we all have.

Pet peeve are racists - caused mainly by ignorance, I was one of just three europeans in boarding school, and had loads of friends - no one ever mentioned the fact that it was me that was different!

I do dislike recipes that have lots of tinned and package food in it - I much prefer to cook from scratch and am not keen on all the preservatives that are in cans and packaged food.

I have a good sense of humor and love to laugh - not at others, but with others.

I am one of the Hosts of the Africa Forum and now the wonderful new TOTM which is been a real challenge, but so much fun - you have to come visit

Friends all seem to love my curries and chinese meals. also my sausage rolls and samosas
I always cook from scratch, which I kind of find good therapy!

My favourite restaurant is Joys Kitchen,
