    Reviewed Chocolate Candy Cane Pie

     |  By 1Steve

"Well I wouldn't say this pie is easy or simple to make but it did taste good. I think if I made it again I would also add a touch of peppermint extract to the candy cane layer to up that flavor a bit. It was kind of difficult getting the candycanes in powder form. I didn't know whether to get semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips so we went with regu..."

"This dip was so delicious! I used a whole cup of hot sauce and added some cayenne because we like heat. Every last bite was eaten and I'm pretty sure people were scraping the bowl! I just threw everything in the crockpot and cooked on low for 2 1/2 hours and it was fine. Served with Frito Scoops, tortilla chips and celery. Thanks for the recipe!"

"I have made this twice now. I don't know why I didn't learn the first time but the lemon flavor was very over powering in this dish. Maybe my lemon was too large. I love chicken francese and other than that this was a good recipe. I will make it again but just decrease the lemon juice to taste instead of following the recipe to a "T." Thank you so..."

"This was a good quiche. I wish I had read the reviews before I went to the store because I would have certainly gotten a deep dish pie crust. My quiche oozed and overflowed all out of the pan, thank goodness I had a baking sheet underneath! It still tasted good in the end. Thanks for posting!"

"I loved these potato bumps. They were very flavorful and I cooked them so they were nice and crispy on the outside. I wouldn't say they were spicy, though. We still ate them all, great recipe!"

"This was a great bean soup! I failed to use low-sodium broth and it was a bit salty but thats my fault. The beans were cooked perfectly. Everytime I have a ham bone I'm going to cook this soup. Thanks!"

"Thanks for the great recipe. I made this for Easter but used the sugar free lemon pudding and added some lemon zest for freshness. I frosted an angel food cake with it and it was HEAVEN! I had to have two slices! Good thing its light ;"

The first time I added the food coloring but it looked very fake so the second time I did not and I liked the way it looked better, personal preferance. "We enjoyed this recipe. I halved the recipe but kept the beef the same for my boyfriend. I did not have carrots so I mixed in some corn for the crunch. I also used whole grain shell pasta and pasta sauce instead of tomato sauce just because of what I had in the cupboard. So much better than hamburger helper and I actually know what I'm putting in..."
