"I love this soup. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is that I also needed to add extra seasonings, herbs etc. But it's an excellent soup - one of my favorites (and Im a soupaholic) but weirdly my husband doesnt like it much at all."

"Ive tried lots of Pea & Ham soup recipes - but once I tried this, I stopped my search. I make this regularly. Its delicious, very hearty and freezes beautifully. Each year at Christmas my husband gets a huge ham from his employers. I dice it up & freeze the meat - then spend the remainder of the year making diced ham into soup. If you have ham, yo..."

"I didnt make any changes & I added raisins (not nuts). It was delicious. It was weird though as the oats seemed to disappear after cooking - you couldnt see them so didnt know they were there! This cake was so moist it had everyone trying to guess what the mystery ingredient was! Everyone thought it was made with applesauce - they were blown away ..."

    LinMarie says:

"I followed the suggestions to reduce the sugar & added lemon zest & lemon essence to the cake batter. I baked in a round cake tin as wanted a traditional looking cake. We intitally tried the cake without the lemon/sugar topping - it was nice enough but nothing outstanding. So I decided to make the topping (which I made 50/50 juice & sugar) - omg ..."

    LinMarie says:

"This recipe is perfect. You dont need to change a single thing. I do make one small change but its not because the recipe calls for it - it's simply because I cant make anything without taking the opportunity to hide veggies in it. I added a defrosted bag of diced frozen veggies (peas, corn, carrot) - not traditional but still utterly delicious."

    LinMarie says:

"Ive made this many times now. The first time I followed the recipe exactly & it was good. The 2nd time I omitted the tomato juice & used 3 cans of crushed tomatoes, then used a stick blender to puree it. It was utterly delicious! I now only make it with the crushed tomatoes (never with the juice) but I often add courgette - equally delicious!"

"A nice soup but not as tasty as I expected based on the reviews. I dont know if it was the recipe or if my asparagus was a little old? My family did eat it though - and the next day it almost turned into a science project as they rushed to the internet to explore a curious after effect of eating aspargus! Some of you will know what I am referring..."

Reviewed Spinach, Tomato and Feta Quiche

     |  70 Reviews  |  By Sackville
    LinMarie says:

"This was my first attempt at a quiche. Based on other users reviews, I definitely must have done something wrong! This took 65 minutes to cook and although the filling was set the base was still raw. The filing was delicious but I dont know what I did wrong with the pastry side of things. If I made it again, I would try baking the pastry first."

    Reviewed Roasted Eggplant (Aubergine) Soup

     |  75 Reviews  |  By Dave
    LinMarie says:

"I have made dozens of soups but this is my favorite. I get excited when I find aubergines on sale at the store as I can make this soup! It freezes well. I like a robust, bursting with flavor soup so after pureeing I add half a small block of feta (or similar) cheese directly to the pot - it melts through & gives the soup creaminess without adding..."
