    About Me

    I am really into making my own pasta and bread especially sourdough. I also love tracking down recipes to use up my discarded sourdough starter. I have baked all my life and enjoy all aspects of it.

    I had a car accident in 2007 and became an incomplete quadrapledgic, i have been left with very little movement on the left side of my body and about 50percent function on the right side of my body. i have no real sensation from my sholders down. I thought my cooking days were over, when I got home from hospital after 9 months of treatment I gave away all my cake tins and cook books. I did not think much about cooking until about 2 year ago when I found myself becoming bored at home and started tinkering again in the kitchen, my husband is very good at modifying and adapting things in the kitchen so i can manage on my own. i have to be very careful not to burn or cut myself as i would be unaware. things take me a lot longer to do these days but I have the time and find I enjoy it more and more. I have had to buy new cake tins but have not worried about recipe books as there are so many great recipes to be found online. At the moment I am making a lot of bread especially sourdough which we eat but I also give to my parent who help me alot and the careers that come to help with my house work. 

    I also enjoy watercolour painting and send my work to the local art center for sale.

    Anything is possible to those who believe especially if they believe in themselves......life is still good!
