"We are having friends over for dinner tonight who have severe food allergies, including dairy, egg, gluten, peanuts and almonds.I found this recipe and thought it might work for dessert with some minor tweaking. I used ground pistachios in place of the almonds and added a few bruised cardamom pods with the rosewater. It smelled amazing while cookin..."

    Reviewed Ice Cubes

"I'm relieved to notice in the nutritional facts that these delicious cubes are not sodium free. A touch of salt is so important to bring out just the right icy flavor. We make this fabulous recipe so often, we had to buy 30 or 40 bottles of bourbon and scotch to go with it..."

    About Me

I'm an opera singer and concert production manager. When I finaly win the lottery/retire I hope to open a B&B for musicians. When I am not standing in line to purchase more losing lotto tickets, I while away my time cooking for all of my starving musician friends, sharing a drink or two or twelve with them, and suffering from masochistic tendencies at the gym. I.e. balancing out my love of good food and drinks.

    Favorite Foods

I love anything spicy or with a Mexican influence. My favorite restaurants are Snoopy's (a family-owned-hole-in-the-wall-mostly-fried-seafood-restaurant on a pier in the middle of the causeway between Corpus Christi and the Island), Arcos (Mexican food in North Fell's Point), Rice (asian fusion in DC), Babalu Grill (Baltimore's best cuban) The Hellmand (afghani gem in downtown Baltimore) and Pazo (Spanish Tapas in Fell's Point). My most serious addictions are to diet coke, tortilla chips, or anything with garlic, cheese, onions, and vanilla (but hopefully not in combination).
