    I'm half of a newlywed couple in the Pacific Northwest who greatly enjoy cooking together.     If I were stranded on a desert island and could bring only three kinds of food, they would be avocado, pears, and hot apple cider. My husband says he'd bring dark chocolate, basmati rice, and soy sauce.
