Te Awamutu
"Really yummy. I didn't have any brown sugar, so I used white, and added a tablespoon of golden syrup when I melted the butter. I added half a teaspoon of vanilla essence. I also doubled the cinnamon, just cos I love it :- Very yummy, and smelt great cooking."

"Wasn't sure where to put the zest, as there was no mention of it in the directions. I added it to the butter/milk/egg mix. Very yummy muffins though. Only yielded 8 muffins, but I think my muffin tins must be bigger than average. Took about 20 min to cook. A very quick, easy, and yummy recipe."

"MMMmm very yummy. Kids helped me make these, and they still turned out great ;- . My Nutella seemed to stay put in the middle, didn't sink at all. I made them exactly to the recipe. Definitely a keeper!"

"Very yummy. Much lighter in texture than I was expecting. The feijoa taste is quite subtle, and the lime compliments it perfectly. The only change I made was to the oven temp. I felt 220 was a bit too hot, so I reduced it to 200, and cooked for slightly longer. It made exactly 12 muffins. Definitely a keeper, I'm taking them to my Mum tomorrow, sh..."

"Very nice flavor. Texture was quite 'stodgy', which I guess is the pumpkin. I made my own pumpkin puree, as tinned puree isn't available here in New Zealand. The other thing I did differently was, once the flour mixture and oil were added to the egg mixture, I mixed by hand rather than with the beater, as I was afraid of over mixing. I used golden..."

"A lovely moist cake. Not all that chocolatey, but the dates give it a rich flavor. My kids helped me make it... and gobble it up!"

"I found this a little dry, but I may have over cooked it. A dollop of whipped cream fixed it quick, and my dinner guests were raving about it. I froze the second half and took it to my Mums a few weeks later and the texture was much more moist from having been frozen. All in all a very yummy recipe."

"Very nice cake, moist and tasty. I found it a bit sweet (and I do have a sweet tooth, two cups of sugar seems quite a lot when the bananas add sweetness too. Next time I make it I will cut that down. Overall a good easy cake."

"The mixture was quite wet and sticky, but I think it was the oats that made it like that. It certainly didn't affect the result at all. Do watch them carefully in the oven, they seem to burn around the edges quite quickly. That may have been because there was no oven temperature listed in the recipe, so I guessed at 190C, which may have been a bit..."
