Reviewed Red Beans and Rice (Crock Pot)
"Just a note: to cut the broth down lightly mash some of the beans. Also the flavor in the red beans comes mainly from your sausage - if you want good flavor, make sure you have some good Cajun sausage (just b/c it's cajun doesn't mean it's hot)! Happily married mother of two wonderful, beautiful children who love to try new foods - my husband . . . not so much, lol! He is Cajun and a pretty picky eater - but I am still determined to get him eating healthier (even after 7 years!) He did not marry me for my cooking skills, but I must say that I have come a very long way!!! I am soooo glad I found this website because I actually look forward cooking new things and I am learning to "throw things together" which I would have never done before because I honestly did not know what would work together!
I make killer mashed potatoes! And i have found that I can make pies. I started making pies because my husbands family is HUGE and have big holiday gatherings where everyone brings something. Well, no one ever brought pies, so I started with the uber easy pumpkin pie (straight from the Libby's label) and have been making pies ever since - my pecan pie is requested at every family gathering, I am very proud to admit!
