    About Me

    I am a 30 year old wife, and mother of 3. I have been a stay at home mom for 10 years now, and thank goodness I have been able to. I wouldn't have traded this time for anything in the world.
    I love to cook, especially bake. What can I say? Desserts are my favorites!
    I have some great recipes that I am required to make for each and every holiday that my family spends together. No ifs ands or buts about it...if I don't bring my candy, I may as well stay home!
    Being an at home mom gave me lots of time to try new recipes and alter those that could be good, with just a little of this and a splash of that.
    I'm getting ready to undertake an even bigger task than staying home with my children, if there is such a thing, by going to college to become an elementary school teacher. My major will be teaching, grades 1-6, but I'm also going to minor in special education, or working with children with disabilities. This is something I have wanted to do since 3rd grade, and I'm finally going to have my chance. I work at the school in my youngest daughters' classroom, and I have had the chance to work with children from all sorts of backgrounds over the years. I can't imagine myself doing anything else at this point in my life.
    When I graduated from high school, I went to school and got my cosmetologist license, and I will always love doing hair, nails, make up and make overs, but my passion is children.
    I also love to talk, as you can plainly see if you are reading this.

    Favorite Foods

    I am restricted to a low-sodium diet, but that has not stopped my love of food. There are lots of ways around the salt that I have found, and I can honestly say I enjoy some of the foods better now that I've had to learn to use more and different types of spices.
    I also learned, rather quickly as I started reading labels, that if it's no or low fat then it's very high in sodium. Beware of this fact when shopping.
    My favorite all time meal is BBQ chicken breast, long grain and wild rice, new or irish potatos, and a nice big fluffy roll with butter accompanied by a glass of milk. I also love lasagna. Who doesn't? My roast is great too. It's not as fancy as most, in fact, it's rather plain, but if you do it right, it's very tasty. I also love a good meatloaf, and my hubby makes the best! I really have too many foods that I like to try and mention them all, but there were just a few I wanted to mention.
