"Easy, and good, but very sweet! Next time, I'll change out the apple juice for 1-2 tablespoons lemon juice to reduce the sweetness ~ Too, I think a few toasted walnuts would be a nice change for the dried cranberries. Made for Spring Photo Tag.."

"Great flavor ~ made for a quick tasty lunch! I reduced the butter to 1/3 cup, thinking 1/2 cup was too much, as written, for the amount of cream and Parmesan cheese. "Made in a 4-qt crock pot, as written except I used four cloves of garlic, 12 large dried figs, and some canned diced tomatoes instead of the tomato paste that I failed to buy! Although flavorful, mine needed salt, and I believe it would benefit from a bit of sugar to balance the lemon juice. Tagged on 02/08 for Photo Tag."

"By far the best oatmeal I've ever eaten! My first time to try steel cut oats, and I worried they would stick and scorch, so I set a timer to stir them every 10 minutes ~ stirring them constantly the last 5 minutes! My simmer is really low and it took mine 40 minutes to thicken to my satisfaction, but well worth the wait. I didn't bother to peel..."

"Nice tall loaf with a tender inside crumb, and a wonderful sweet flavor from the figs and honey. The bread has a little crunch from the fig seeds and walnuts! Will be great toasted for breakfast with cream cheese. I increased the walnuts to 1/2 cup ~ Mixed on the dough cycle and baked in my oven, in Pyrex, at 350F for 30 minutes. Tagged 02/03/..."
