Reviewed Elite Repeat Dinner Salad
"Good salad. Made a great dinner and lunch. I did make enough to divide between dinner and lunch and my husband mistakenly added all the dressing to the dinner course, so I used a poppyseed dressing the next day and it was just as good. There was a little bit too much onion for me, so I would recommend using only half of a red onion. Thanks Bunc..."

Reviewed Lemon Pepper-Tarragon Chicken With Sour Cream, Mushroom and Wine
"This made a good dinner. I halved the amount of chicken and mushrooms, but not the sauce :) and I found 8 oz of mushrooms to be plenty, even if I have used double the chicken. Thanks Chef Menel for sharing this recipe. Made for All Aboard the L-O-V-E Train! 2012 game."

Update, February 2011: I have recenlty gone back to school! I am getting my Masters in Counseling from City University of Seattle. So far I am almost done with my second quarter and I am loving it! It is a program for working adults, so at times it can be stressful handling a full-time job and school, but I've wanted to be a Marital & Family Counselor for so long, that I find the program to be very rewarding. Once I graduate (it seems so far away) I hope to be a pre- & post-marital counselor, especially with blended families. I also would like to work with Military families, coping with deployment and reintegration after deployment.
I am NorthwestGal's daughter and after hearing such wonderful things about this site, I decided to join too. I have to admit after years of growing up on my mom's crunchy rice and other kitchen disasters, I now see that she enjoys cooking and is making some wonderful dishes and I am hoping that recipezaar can improve my cooking skills as much as it as improved her's.
I have been married to a wonderful man for 3 years. He was a line cook when he was younger, so he used to do most of the cooking for us, but we are trying to even things out in the kitchen, so I am learning to expand my horizons with new cuisines.
I would love to find recipes that are healthy, budget-friendly, and tasty. I know that finding recipes that fits all three of these requirements is about as easy as finding a needle in a haystack, but I'm hoping that recipezaar will help me in my search.
One of my favorite ways to spend time is making a nice meal for my family and friends and playing board games or Scene-It on our X-Box. I have to brag that I am quite good at Scene-It, so if you are up to a challenge and have an online X-Box account, bring it on baby!
I love Seafood fettucine! It combines my favorites, seafood & pasta. Plus I love a good steak. I also like italian, chinese, and recently found out I like Thai (unfortunately, I can't handle spice so I don't get to try out too many Thai dishes).
