Shared Recipe Baked Pear & Ginger Cobbler -Whole Grain Goodness

"This fresh and easy dessert (or breakfast) dish cooks up quick and tastes decadent, although it is very light and made with very little fat and whole grains for good nutrition no one will ever guess is in there!

I combined two recipes from my great aunt and made healthy substitutions to make it very low in fat, filled with whole grain goodness a..."

    Reviewed Pear Ginger Crumble

"Saw Ellie make this on the show this morning, had to make it tonight. Delicious, and the ginger did exactly what Ellie described. But. the crumble needed a bit more fat. It was a little too crummy, not so much crumbly. But, that is easily adjusted and it is a definite do-over!""

    Reviewed Five Layer Mexican Dip

"Awesome dish! Who would have known corn would make all the difference in the world? Black beans are now a staple in our home. Pureeing them to use in place of refried beans was a delicious suggestion. My husband, who supposedly "hates" black beans, gobbled this up! I made it for a pot luck at work and they scraped the bowl clean!""

    About Me

Full time working mother of four. I cook for my family of six every night.  If it comes from a box and partially prepared, I won't buy it.

My cooking pet peeve is Hamburger Helper.... It is pitched as a cheap meal, but in reality ts sooo expensive to buy, tastes like salt souffle , and is essentially .57 cents worth of macaroni, powdered tomato and fake cheese with a little thickener added.  What a rip off!
