I'm a real estate agent in the lovely city of Rochester, New York. That's not what I expected to do with my life. I got my bachelor's in psychology, my masters in literacy education, and I taught high school special education for two years. Then I discovered that helping people find the homes of their dreams was my real passion. I've been doing it for over three years now and still absolutely love my career.
Other than that, I have a very spoiled Border Collie mix named Bear that I adopted from a local shelter in spring '08. He's gorgeous and fun and brings me great joy. Now if only I could find a man like that... LOL!
I admit it, I have a huge sweet tooth! I love sweet foods like quick breads, muffins, and cookies, and I'm a major chocaholic. My favorite main dishes usually involve chicken. I'm also a big fan of quick and easy recipes and comfort foods, so I have quite a few of those posted. The only foods I can think of that I dislike are spicy foods!
Due to health issues, I mainly stick to a dairy-free, low-fat diet. I've tried to post a lot of those types of recipes here on Zaar to help out those with similar dietary needs. Those of you who are able to use dairy products, feel free to substitute them for the soy milk, soy yogurt, etc. in any of my recipes. I don't want to drive anyone away with my "weird" ingredients! I hope you enjoy my recipes, and I can't wait to try yours! :-)
