Hi, everyone!! Thank for checking out my page! Like the photo?? Those 2 sweeties are so important to me & I just love them to pieces. I am a born again Christian & the Lord has given me life itself as well as a JOY for cooking/baking that I never thought possible!! He gives me awesome grace & skill to use these 2 hands to cook & create foods that hopefully have blessed my own tummy as well as anyone around me who looks hungry! I am Indian & I'm sorry I have no photo of me, but my love & joy are in these 2 "boys" so please enjoy their adorable faces as much as I do!
I seriosly spend way too much time in the kitchen. But I truly enjoy it--I get to control flavors, portions & get a great sense of accomplishment in what I do. It's not always easy, but cooking has taught me to be patient while I learn, get creative & take risks--all things that don't come naturally to me! I really love browsing this sight & seeing what's "out" there. I can finally make homemade pizza thanks to this site--a great feat in my eyes! Hubby stays with me just for that reason--just kidding lovebug!
Here's the short version: I am a vegetarian who goes "ape" over bananas. I don't know why I am that way--they just taste so darn good! And they give me great energy & keep the tummy satisfied. I am not a "meat is murder" kind of vegetarian--hubby is still a carnivore, so it's a "mixed" marriage indeed! I try to make recipes I know will turn out well for us & I've been known to adjust spices, ingredient amounts, etc to suit our needs. I hate wasting food or buying ingredients that won't be versatile, so I try to choose carefully. Who knows what I am really "good" at making?? Hubby seems satisfied, I am pretty pleased (most of the time!). I just keep plowing forward in learning, growing & trusting that the Lord will keep blessing my hands for His work! And seriously--it is so satisfying to fill hungry bellies (but not too much, tho--it's so sad how obesity has taken over!)
PS: I can't cook Indian food & I have tried several times. Most people are shocked, understandably, but such a talent doesn't just "come" with the skin color! I was a junk food junkie for most of my life; now I have done a 180 in that area. Lost a bunch of weight cuz of it, too--took a good 5-6 years! Worth it, tho!
Thank you so much to the many talented, generous chefs at Zaar. The majority of people here are so positive, helpful & love to cook for their families. It has helped me so much, in more ways that I can explain, but it all means so much!
