    Reviewed Easy Salsa Beef Pie

"I;m saddened to only give 1 star. It sounded & smelled so good while baking. However, the crust was very doughy, I baked a little longer & it was still doughy but the top was burnt. Next time, I would bake the crust a little first, then add the meat & cheese & bake a little longer.

    Reviewed Chocolate Filled Oatmeal Bars

"So good! My 6 year old said "give it 5 stars Mom", they are delicious & pretty easy to make. I omitted the instant coffee, since I didn;t have any & it was delicious that way. But next time I will buy it because you can;t go wrong with coffee & chocolate!

    Reviewed Easy Prime Rib

"My house smelled amazing while this was cooking! I used a beef roast & it was full of flavor. I made it in a crockpot, but next time I will try it in the oven.

    Reviewed Pasta Primavera

"Great flavor! My Husband and two picky eaters loved it. I made this with linguine pasta. I may slightly decrease the garlic next time, but it was very good!

Reviewed Lighter Nutella Chocolate Chip Cookies

"So good that you forget they are a lighter version! I baked them for a few extra minutes, they seemed too doughy after 7 minutes. Very good, will be making again.

Reviewed "it Still Feels Like Winter" Vegan Oatmeal Muffins

"I added extra raisins, & they were very good. I thought it would rise a little better than it did (only reason I didn;t give it 5 stars), but very tasty. Will make again.

Reviewed Easy Chicken and Rice Soup

"This is the easiest rice soup I;ve ever made. I thought I might need more seasoning, but it was perfect as is. I cooked it an extra 5 minutes because the rice wasn;t quite done, I added a little more water too. Very good, will make again for a quick meal.

    About Me

    I am a stay-at-home mom to a very active toddler and a 1st grader.
My husband & I love to cook & eat at home.
My favorite cookbooks are church cookbooks. They have more recipes that my family & I will actually eat.
My husband & I both lost quite a bit of weight before we dated & since then, have changed the way we cook/eat. We substitute all "ground hamburger" in the recipes we use to ground turkey. We love the taste, it's not as filling & cheaper than ground beef. We also cook a lot with chicken & try to stay away from a lot of beef.
I also made all of my baby food & have posted some of the recipes that I used. My girls are both picky eaters.  However, they loves veggies and fruit and could eat it all day!
I absolutely love this web-site and turn to it often for new recipes, I'm always on the lookout for a new recipe. My family doesn't seem to mind:).
