    About Me

My passion for cooking stems from an early age - (I wonder if it's hereditary?) I loved watching my mum cook and she would make us help her on Saturday mornings making Pot Stickers for lunch!

My parents are in the catering business and my late Grandfather was a chef who made fantastic Chinese Roast Duck and lots of sweet pastries and cakes.

I still love watching cookery programmes and I can't help but collect recipes! I haven't tried all dishes in my recipe collections - books, notes and on-line recipes but I draw my inspiration for my evening meals from them.

My favourite cookbook is Nigel Slater's Appetite - so what do you want to eat today? Just reading it makes you salivate and you have visions of the food in front of you!

    Favorite Foods

My best dish is a leg of Roast Pork, crunchy crackling, golden and fluffy roast potatoes and home-made apple sauce! I cooked this for an Easter Feast after only moving in a week previously! We sat on cushions on the floor and had a table made from a desk top balanced on an empty box! My friends said it was their most memorable meal!
