    About Me

I Live in Raleigh, NC I grew up in the mountains of NC but have lived in Raleigh since graduating college in 1985. I work full time and am mom to 2 kids, one in college and out on her own, the other in high school. My fiance is the world's easiest person to cook for. He says that whatever I cook, he will eat...at least once. My favorite cookbook is The Joy of Cooking. I refer to it whenever I need technical assistance on an ingredient. I rarely use the recipes but the information contained in the book is absolutely invaluable.

    Favorite Foods

My favorite food is Chinese and I'm on a quest to make a meal that taste like either my favorite take out or my father's Chinese dishes. I'm not even close yet!

Whenever I take a dish to a potluck or have a group of friends over for dinner, they always request that I make Loaded Baked Potato Salad. I haven't posted it because there are so many already on this site but I did review one that was similar to mine and noted that instead of mayo, I use ranch dressing. Yum!

My favorite restaurant?? Any one where I'm not paying!
