    About Me

    Hello! I have a wonderful husband and two fantastic kids. I love to read, have fun with family and friends, stay active with: running; soccer; golf; biking; hiking; and gardening. I loveeee to travel. I've been to every state in the United States. Most of that was accomplished by car travel, which I think is a great way to see our country. I've also been to Mexico and Canada. My family loved old Quebec City and Victoria, B.C. I'm looking forward to more international travel some day. Cooking has become a passion for me. I love to puruse cookbooks, watch the Food Network and try new recipes. I have way too many cookbooks! A few of my favorites are: Barefoot Contessa (any - but especially 'Family Style'),Rachael Ray 30-Minute Meals 2, Roasting by Barbara Kafka, Beyond Parsley & The Black Dog Summer on the Vineyard Cookbook.

    I try to carefully choose Zaar recipes that I think my family will enjoy, which is why most of my ratings are 3-5 stars.

    Favorite Foods

    Tops on my list are seafood and pasta (especially together). If I had to pick a regional favorite, it would be Mexican food..yum! However, my family doesn't seem to like many ethnic dishes so I'm always on the lookout for different chicken and beef recipes. Choosing a favorite restaurant is as difficult as narrowing down my favorite cookbooks! Currently, I'm a big fan of Bahama Breeze. I LOVE their almond encrusted tilapia and my kids are crazy about the coconut shrimp.
