    About Me

My ambition is to cook a three-course meal - have only managed the main course so far!

Pot luck takes care of the rest. But I'm here to work on that!

I'd be lost without my kitchen gadgets. My motto is; Once it goes in the oven, forget it until it's ready to serve : )

    Favorite Foods

I mostly steam/microwave stuff, but every month I have 8-10 friends around for a meal. I have to go down to the ground floor to let them into the car park, so it is always a dish I can slow-cook in the oven & get on with host duties! Anything that needs attention half an hour before serving had better be a guest, not a recipe : )

Chicken in broccoli sauce is a favourite with them; my mother's recipe. I tried a duck & chicken cassolet with beans recently, from a party book, which was well received. Duck is pricey, but it sure went down well with close friends.

I love Italian & Indian restaurants, also Cajun/Creole. It's good to try new dishes.

I'm also hooked on crisp green salads with Marks & Spencer Caesar salad dressing and green bell peppers.
