"My aunt used to make these also. While she was mixing up the batter, she preheated her oven to 400 degrees. Then she put them on cookie sheets, stuck them in the oven, and turned the oven off. She also left them in the oven overnight. A tablespoon of apricot brandy can also be added to the batter."

"This recipe was great___haven't tried all the variations yet, but am looking forward to doing that. In making these macaroons, I have also substituted the almond extract for a tablespoon of apricot brandy. Another variation is instead of coconut, fold in mini chocolate chipsLinda Timm"

"Hi Sharon! I decided to try these cookies this afternoon, and boy were they delicious!!!!!! Thanks so much for sharing. I did refrigerate them for 3 hours instead, and I am going to add a tablespoon of apricot brandy to the recipe the next time I try it. Thanks again"
