"Very good recipe! Slightly different from beef sloppy joes, but still has nice flavors and healthier! Only thing I did different was reduce the brown sugar to 1 tbsp and skipped the jalapeno's because our 16 mo old was eatting this with us. Will make again, thanks for sharing."

"Wonderful! I used the whole wheat flour option and exchanged the veggie oil for a heaping tbsp of apple sauce. To boost the "healthy factor" I added a tbsp of wheat germ & a handful of chopped strawberries to the batter. My 16 mo old daughter loved them topped with peanut butter, and I topped mine with peanut butter and real maple syrup. Thank..."

"This was super easy and very good. Made this for a side dish at my daughter's 1st Birthday Party. Even my dad liked it, and he is not a fruit eatter. Only change I made was I used apple juice instead of orange juice because that's what I had on hand. Turned out great still. Thanks for sharing."

"Great recipe! I used 3/4 c. whole wheat flour and 1/4 c. all purpose flour instead to make it healthier. I also substituted 1/4 c. applesauce for the oil. They tasted great! I added 3/4 c. blueberries. So much healthier than out of a box and so easy! Thank you for the recipe!"

"Made this last night as we were stormed in during a blizzard and needed something to warm us up. I halved the recipe since I had a 1/2 a can of refried beans in the fridge, but other than that I followed the recipe exactly. It was awesome, tastes just like the chicken tortilla soup I make. Husband and I didn't miss the chicken at all. Super ea..."

"This soup was very good, I didn't have navy beans or black-eyed peas, so I used butter beans and kidney beans for those two. Other than that no changes. Both me and DH liked it. Added shredded cheddar cheese on top with some crackers and tobasco. Perfect on a cold rainy night like tonight."
