"Because I was pressed for time, I used cut-up boneless, skinless chicken thighs. After boiling the meat long enough to create a broth, I removed 1/2 cup and set aside. I added carrots, peas, onions, and garlic. While the veggies cooked, I made the dumplings and substituted the broth for the milk. They turned out wonderful! It was a great Sunday din..."

Reviewed Yes, Virginia There is a Great Meatloaf

"Good stuff. Substituted oatmeal for the breadcrumbs and would consider substituting crackers also, just because we don;t have a food processor to grind the breadcrumbs and I;m too lazy to do it by hand. Husband commented that the sauce was a bit sweet, so I;ll probably alter that next time. Everyone enjoyed it, however, so I;ll ..."

    About Me

I'm the proud grandma of two grandchildren and I love it! I also enjoy some gardening, macrame, roses, baking bread with my abms, genealogy, and going to local festivals (arts & crafts, herbs, apples, etc).  I know this is a rather odd picture to post, however I have no idea what it is and figured if someone else did they could share it with me.  I took it at a Homolovi Indian ruin in Arizona.

    Favorite Foods

Sheesh, what DON'T I like! Hominy, mostly, but I'm trying to get over that. I love to bake bread and unfortunately I love to eat it as well. Our family is so spontaneous that I've rotted a bit and turned into a "quick-and-easy" cook, so I'm really blessed to live in a tech-age with microwaves and ovens that turn off by themselves when the food's done. Even with all the gizmos, I still have a tendency to burn things once in a while. Oh heck, I do it on a regular basis!!!
