    About Me

Loved lived in US Great Lakes thru' the 80's & early 90's, miss all my friends in Michigan, Ind, Chicago & WI. Love Oregon, too!

Came to Tas from UK, June 08!

Love recipes for rhubarb, squash, fruit cakes... I'm trying very hard to grow my own food from the clay & mudstone around our home; the bush fights you all the way!

Fav Cookbook, if I could find it in a bargain basement:- Joy Of Cooking, always seeking the ORIGINAL recipe for Whiskey Bread Pudding which is divine, except that I can't eat eggs any more... so ALWAYS looking for egg-yolk substitutes to make this type of sauce???

Seeking great meringue recipes to make the ultimate Pavlova!

Love Jamie Oliver, chef Michael Caines... Inventing dishes.. Always trying to work round ways to cook with little egg & no egg-yolk, also twice-cooked starch!!

Pet Peeves: MSG & junk in food that makes me sick... ESP BLUE jelly/jello, Yuck!, also  AVOID RED F# 160b & the natural preservative they use in bread... have a G'Day!

    Favorite Foods

Rhubarb, mango's, figs, Brazil & Macadamia nuts, Chicken Kashmiri, jambalaya, Mexican, Christmas Dinner, my Yorkshire puds & crepes!

But these days, with so much garden to take care of I need easy & delicious!!

Restaurant? What's that?!! Would LOVE a really good creamy curry...
