    About Me

I live in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex. I am a secretary. I love to garden and am planning a herb garden as we speak. I also have many pets. (cats, dog, rabbit, the iquana legged it with the corn snake!)
My favorite cookbook of all time is JOY OF COOKING. When I was a child I remember thinking my mother was odd because she read cookbooks, well now I understand because I also read cookbooks.
I think a good education is very important for everyone, and what we put in and on our bodies be it food, tv, meds, cleaning chemicals or bad thoughts have a huge impact on how we feel about ourselves and the world.
I have always enjoyed good food. As a newlywed we could not afford to eat at nice restaurants so I started learning to cook. Somedays cooking is a joy and somedays it is a drudge. I am working on streamlining my kitchen routine so I have what I need at hand and clean up is a breeze. One of my pet peeves is.. when used gum is not wrapped before it is thrown away. Gum seems to never loose it's stick! I have had gum stuck to the outside of my car.
If I had a month off with no responsiblities? Humm.. get my house in order or fix and play with computers or read read read or go to Playa del Carmine and snorkle.
