Reviewed Red Chili Sauce (To Be Used With Traditional Tamales)
"I agree this is so very close to my Mexican grandmothers & my mother's recipe. It's almost like a mole sauce.the only small difference being we add a pinch of ground cinnamon to our sauce. And I would like to say authentic red sauce for tamales NEVER has ANY type of tomato product in it.You made it easy to read and understand, great job!!!"

I'm a Mexican American, raised on the food my grandmother & mother prepared , sometimes substituting one ingredient for another, because what they wanted wasn't available here in the midwest where we're from.I've owned my own restaurant, my own catering business and I LOV E to cook! Not just mexican food, all types. My mother was orphan , so was raised by a big Italian family, my faher was raised in a neighborhood full of eastern block people like , Czechs , Lithuanian , & Polish people. So we had a wide variety of different foods at our table, music from all over the world to dance to and friends with ethnicities from everywhere you could think of!
