"This is a great basic recipe for some experimentation. I didn't have cocoa so used hot chocolate mix. Because of this I added 1 tsp nutmeg and a dash of cardamom to pump up the flavour a bit. Very moist. Wonderful when eaten warm. My DH and DS both loved it. Next time I'd try adding cinnamon, perhaps even cloves. I'll even buy cocoa and try the ..."

"Easy, tasty, simple to find ingredients...what a combo. We used stewing beef instead of a roast because of the cost, and onion soup from a dry mix. There were an initial 8 servings then we froze the leftovers. The gravy was fabulous!"
