"Old-fashioned pie taste with ease of modern day cooking...made this for Easter and will make it again and again...next time I will put whipped cream, instead of meringue...just for a different flavor enhancer!"

"When I make these, I make sure my eggs are at room temperature. They mix better that way. Also, I spray Pam or something like it on my parchment paper. That enables the dough not to stick and you can manipulate the dough with the parchment paper into a perfect shape. The dough will stay where you place it with even sides. Excellent with white ..."

"Wow! I served this at our Cafe at church and it was the tops! Thanks so much for a lower sugar, but really tasty recipe! Actually, I doubled the recipe and it made a bundt pan and 2 large loaves. They took 1 hour in the oven."

"Make sure you beat the eggs at least 8 minutes each time one is put into the bowl...I use the whipping paddle on my KitchenAid, instead of the regular one...made the filling higher and creamier...this was made for an event tonight and so many people asked about it...Great recipe! Served it in an Oreo cookie crust...with whipped cream on top. Peo..."

Dough is easy with which to work, but it still needs some extra cinnamon. I used 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, but would use a little more next time.
