Reviewed Apple Spice Cake with Cream Cheese Icing

"Harmatafamily and the other one-stars must have done something wrong, because this is not at all dry (though it is dense), and it is not difficult so long as you have basic cooking skills, know your oven, and follow the recipe if you don't understand baking science. It's not light and airy like a box mix - it is an old-world style solid cake. Than""

"Yummy! I never thought to make it with chicken broth, instead of beef stock, but it was great! Of course! It's one of Anne's recipes! I do put black pepper in mine, which is the only difference. She rarely ever uses black pepper, but I love it. ""

Reviewed Grilled Chicken with Dijon and Meyer Lemon

"Excellent, but I wouldn't expect anything else from Anne! Definitely try this, and if you don't have Meyer lemons just use regular ones. It's a little different, but close enough. ""

"This has become a family favorite! I marinate the cooked shrimp (and sometimes chicken) in curry powder and lime juice. I also double the sauce using 2 cups yogurt and 2 cups sour cream. My family loves it! Thanks!"

    About Me

I am a mother and a wife - a psychology student, married to a German man. We are both very sensual, and we love to eat, to cook, to taste and enjoy. I do most of the cooking, but he is my sous chef, and when I don't feel like cooking he can whip up a few mean dishes to get my enthuasism going.

Besides cooking, I love love LOVE my computer - doing research, reading about true crime and scanning cooking and crafting blogs.

    Life is good!

    Favorite Foods

How can I pick favorites? I love things that taste good and feel good and make me feel good. I love to experiment - to walk into an ethnic market and pick up something I have never seen or tried and try it. I love to travel to foreign countries and buy food, and ship it home in a box. It's like Christmas waiting for the box to get here, and then planning and playing with all the goodies.

So, my favorite today may not be my favorite next week, but they will all be good and make me (and the people at my table) happy!
