    Reviewed Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

"A very good basic recipe. Thank you so much for posting this. I did a few changes to beef up the health benefits. First I used 1 cup of whole wheat flour and 1 cup of ground flax. Then only 1/2 cup of sugar and 1/2 cup of brown sugar. I also split the butter in half and replaced that 1/2 cup with coconut oil and finally added a teaspoon of cin..."

Reviewed Thai Noodles With Spicy Peanut Sauce

"Awesome dish! I made four times the called for amount of sauce and doubled the veggies, we like a saucey pasta. I simply could have eaten the veggies and sauce alone. I used fresh choy, green beans, and broccoli and Korean mushrooms. Definitely a dish to repeat!"

    About Me

I am the mother of a Jewish family. Our children range in age from 30 to 8 years old. I have two grandsons. I love to bake and cook with all of them sharing tips and secrets and laughs and sorrows. I find the kitchen is one of the places where the life blood of our family centers. We raise miniature dachshunds and pekingese on the side and have homeschool our children for over 16 years.

    Favorite Foods

I enjoy cooking from every culture imaginable. I have a varied palate anything from my Palak Paneer that my children love, hot and spicey to my basic Shabbat whole wheat challah. I especially enjoy sephardic dishes of rice and lamb, fresh vegetable and fruit dishes, and anything heavy in olive oil and lemon. I have had several recipes published on other sites one is my Steamed Figgy Pudding recipe. My favoirte tools are my pressure cookers, crockpots, and large mixer.
