"Super moist and almost cake-like in texture and sweetness. Huge hit with my family and guests and a great option for weeks when I don't want to make my usual batch of 6 loaves."

"Super tasty... but something just didn't work right. The dough seemed awfully thin (more like batter! and the resulting cookies merged into a thin cookie bar. On the bright side, the cookie bar was chewy and delicious!!"

"Very tasty and simple to make -- I didn't come close to following the recipe for ingredients, but the proportions are perfect despite my multiple substitutions: cocoa and oil for chocolate, margarine for butter, and soymilk for milk."

"Delicious and easy!! I used the large, Israeli toasted couscous and added a good bit of fresh parsley to it. I also increased the amount of garlic drastically. I prefer a slightly thicker, but not stronger, glaze for the chicken so I added a touch of cornstarch to finish it. Wonderful!"

"Just came out of the oven. Wow! So easy -- I subbed unsalted regular margarine for the butter with no problem at all. Delicious!"

"Delicious!! My goal was to find a sugar recipe that easily subbed margarine for butter -- so many do not. These are great!! Pefectly colored golden without burning on the bottom. Tasty too... especially when sandwiched together with some chocolate creme! I followed the recipe exactly, rolled 1.25" balls, and baked 70 cookies."

"Excellent! I had several bunches of bananas that needed using so I doubled the recipe -- I was a bit generous on the banana count (3 large per loaf and stingy on the sugar (3/4 cup per loaf. I also added a heaping tsp of cinnamon and a very generous amount of vanilla. If only I had chocolate chips... Baked 1/2 as a loaf and the rest as 1..."

"Exactly the texture I was looking for! Instead of the cherry filling (which sounds great I used a chocolate brownie type filling -- see my post for it. I love that the solid filling is still soft, but doesn't ooze out. This dough made a perfectly cookie that retained its shape. I found it a little soft to work with and did have to refrigera..."

"Delicious! I had a hard time convincing my husband that this was a lower-fat recipe. I followed the recipe closely, but I reduced the sugar to 1/2 c. as suggested by some reviewers (still *very* sweet*, and added a handful of chocolate chips & a bit of cinnamon.I would have liked it if the bread rose more, but it was extremely good as a very ..."

"Tried this today -- excellent! I let the mixture boil for more than 1 minute as I wanted a thicker final product. On a lower flame under a careful eye, it was perfect! I added under 1 tsp. of instant coffee granules for a little kick."
