I live/work on a grain farm of 5500 tillable acres. We grow the canola in your canola oil! My husband and I have 4 children, 1 boy 11yr old and 2 boy/1 girl 9yr olds.
My husband is a picky eater which makes it challenging to be creative in the kitchen...meat and potatoes/noodles ~ nothing good for you. Thankfully, my kids are pretty good at eating most things :). Living in a very rural area of North Dakota, we do not have very "good" fruits or veggies, especially in the winter! It makes it difficult to get everyone to eat them when they really don't taste that great, making it all the more important to have great recipes to bring out flavors.

One of my favorite meals to cook & eat is a great roast beef supper.
Teriyaki steak w/ fried rice.
Broasted chicken w/ baked potato.
Fresh strawberry pie
Cheesecake (if I could find a recipe for the Cheesecake Factory's Lemon Raspberry Cream cheesecake I'd be 400 lbs!)
