I'm a a native Texan that has recently relocated to the beautiful California coast from Cheyenne, Wyoming. My husband was stationed there for 3 years and while we enjoyed our time in Wyoming, it is wonderful to be in a place with culture and diversity again. We are the parents of two very quirky yet very lovable cats, Mateo (8) and Kassie (7). We enjoy experimenting with a variety of cooking styles and love to adventure with new and different types of cuisine both when we dine out and cook. I maintain a vegetarian diet primarily and my husband is a shameless carnivore, so this often calls for a little creativity in the kitchen. Thankfully, I have found so many great recipes on Recipezaar that comply with both of our diets. One of my favorite things to do is invent new meals with unexpected ingredients in my kitchen such as tofu or spinach.
Dark chocolate, edamame, any fresh fruit or veggie, except cucumber (weird,I know), and red wine. I LOVE trying foods from different cultures, my current favorites being Indian, Mediterranean, and Japanese. I'm completely bored with American Cuisine.
