The best cookbook is the one that evolves in your own kitchen - with the help of friends, hotel chefs around the world - and of course Recipezaar contributors. Passions? Well, Italian cooking, wine matching, travel, I play the Market a bit, write, & love to watch people. Oil painting after 50 years!Pet peeves: recipes that lack complete instructions, and people who claim "secret" recipes. On the internet, there ARE no secrets - keep googling til you pop that 'secret' ! LOL

    Favorite Foods

    Rustic Italian dishes that are hearty, unpretentious and match well with commonly-stocked wines. Thai foods that ring with zesty spices, Indian dishes that combine a host of vegetables with sense-filling spice and flavours. French-Canadian dishes that feature local cheeses and meats. Anything with lamb. Only fresh, never-frozen beef. Wild-caught fish fresh from the pan.
