I love to cook. And then I love to take photos of what I've fixed before I eat or drink it! |

Marg is short for Margaret so it pronounced with a "g" at the end, not a "j" like Marge would be. :) (The teacher in me must point out the rule is: 'g' says 'j' when followed by 'e', 'i' or 'y' which is why "Marg" cannot be pronounced "Marj".
My husband means more to me than anything else in this world. He definitely is my 'other half' since he completes me.
We have two wonderful kids, who are getting more enjoyable the older they get. LOL!
My belief in God, His doctrines and how they affect me are the focus of my life.
For as long as I can remember, I've loved to cook. I especially love to bake. It is a pleasure, not a chore. I enjoy trying new recipes and sharing those of mine I have come to love with others; so RecipeZaar is a perfect fit for me. It has also helped me indulge in my love of photography by giving me so many recipes to fix and then photograph.
I have been professionally trained as a cake decorator and a florist. I also was a photo lab manager for several years. This background has been extremely helpful as I arrange, photograph and edit my food photos here on Zaar. Oh, and a lot of natural lighting and a good camera helps too!! :) I used to use a Sony DSC-W50 & a Sony Cyber-Shot H50 with Carl Zeiss lenses. I now have a Nikon D3100. It has been a great privilege and joy to be one of the Forum Host of the Cooking Photos Forum when time permits. If you are interested in seeing some of my favorites of the photos I've taken, visit: http://www.flickr.com/photos/caymandesigns/
Outside the kitchen, I love to travel especially to the beach. Tropical beaches lined with palm trees to rocky New England coastlines, I love them all. I've had the pleasure of visiting 3 continents and over 35 states.
I also enjoy scrapbooking, reading, interior decorating, making jewelry, cake decorating, web page design and studying history.
Why Cayman Designs? When I started creating some of my own web graphics, websites and jewelry I decided to come up with a name that I could use for all of 'design' efforts. Since we had gone to Cayman Brac on our honeymoon and loved it, "Cayman Designs" just seemed like a natural tribute to our picture perfect time there.
I have, so far, talked several people into joining Recipezaar, my sister Windchime, my SIL Chef #280199 plus some of my best internet friends Chef Doozer and Chef #494521. I hope you will check out their recipes as well!
