"This is a good base recipe. I found it made a thin sauce. When I made it a second time I omitted the water added to the broth, and added tarragon and garlic. It is easy to do for a crowd, and freezes pretty well. I tripled the recipe and it was fine - although slightly disconcerting to use 18 cups of cream!"

"This cake was great. I made it for a birthday at work. Everyone loved it. I served it lightly dusted with powdered sugar. It was dense, but not heavy and moist. The cream cheese gave it a great flavor, but it did not taste "cream cheesey". It did take longer to bake than stated, but could definitly be my oven. I just used the toothpick test."

"These were amazing! I hate when cinnamon rolls are just bread in the middle without much stuff. NOT a problem here! The filling was tasty and substantial and the topping worked into the rolls themselves. They were beautiful on top, very nutty and caramelized. The cranberries added a nice change of pace. They stayed moist for two days in a covere..."

"I served this as an appetizer at a cocktail party. I made my own dough, but followed everything else exactly. It was excellent! The roasted tomatoes are intense and the bocconcini is a nice addition. Definitely use the fresh basil. Very flavorful, but not heavy. Everyone loved it!"

"Excellent flavor, and very tender. I only used 2 chipotles. I was asked for the recipe after someone smelled, not tasted, but smelled the leftovers I took for lunch. I will definitely make this again and again."

"This was quick and easy. I used 1/2 oil and 1/2 butter to brown the chicken and it was beautifully browned. The sauce was easy to make. I reduced it, and did not add the butter. I served it over mashed potatoes, and the sauce complimented the creamy potatoes beautifully. The balsamic flavor was not as strong as I expected. Delicious overall! I h..."

"My husband doesn't like the traditional sweet potato casserole with brown sugar and marshmallows, so I was going to make a small dish for myself. Then I found this more savory-than-sweet recipe. He enjoyed them, our guests and I loved them! I used regular bacon instead of pancetta. I also did the onions overnight in the crockpot (did a lot for an..."

"This was a fast, simple, pretty side dish. I used cream instead of 1/2 and 1/2 and omitted the sour cream because I didn't have any. I considered subbing yogurt, but it was delicious as it was. Some might prefer the tangy sour cream to cut the richness. The sauce seemed too thick at first, but when the spinach was added, it thinned slightly and ..."

"This was easy to make (especially since I cheated and used a frozen pie crust for the base so I can't comment on the dough. The filling was sweet, but not too sweet, and the jam really added to it. I used the cranberries, but not the almonds. It was delicious warm."

"This was easy to make and delicious! It is very rich. I served small slices with raspberries and strong coffee. "
