    About Me

I Like food and (unfortunetly) have the size that shows it.
From my mother I learned that food is an adventure; try anything and everything especially the dishes and ingredients you have never tasted before if you have the chance. She is also a great cook and thaught me.
I'm a pragmatic vegetarian, which means I will eat meat abroad. Most national dishes will have meat in them and as the countries food is part of the vacation experience...
And when i'm struck by flu I will make myself chicken soup.
But mostly I love vegetables and the infinite variety of ways to prepare them. My pet peeve is chefs who are derisive of vegetarians; they lack creativity and imagination.
I love reading cookbooks. But my favority that I actually use a lot is the Worl Food Cafe. It is great to read with beautifull pictures and information about the countries the recepies come from, but more important the recepices are great as well clear instructions they don't ask for impossible ingredients and the result is invariable very tasty.

    Favorite Foods

Red cabbage the way my mum and now I make it. This has been my favorite as long as I can remember.
