"absolutely perfect recipe! First time I did this recipe as written (minus the cinnamon due to allergy) and they were very good. didn't last long either. This recipe is a lot of fun, especially if you love the little details."

There wasn't enough vegetables for me so I slice the sausages (they turn into meatballs that way) and fry 1 onion, 1 green pepper, and 3 cloves of garlic with the sausage balls. When that's done, I add the rest of the ingredients. I sometime switch the kidney beans for black beans. It's awesome,..."

"I'm sorry, you must have a secret to this recipe, because when I follow it to the letter, my hoe cakes do not come out of the 1/4 cup measure, stick to my lightly greased griddle, and end up tasting like sand in buttermilk. I just had to throw it out it was so bad."
