    About Me

I'm a born and bred Hoosier with a fantastic husband and 3 beautiful daughters, 3,13,17(yep..we waited awhile for that last one :)).
I love to cook, but right now my passion is leaning more towards baking. I have this secret desire to be a pastry chef and win a Food Network Challenge! HA!
Besides my family and cooking, I have a HUGE passion for anything Disney. Walt is my hero(next to my grandparents) and if I could live at Disney World, I would. We visit at least once a year and this year we've been three times. I'm waiting not-so-patiently for my next visit! So, hello to all you other Disney fans out there...I know you're here.
As for work, right now I'm mostly a SAHM but am working at my old job a few hours a week as an ophthalmic tech. I'm also a student off and on trying to get my nursing degree(RN/BSN).

    Favorite Foods

I think my favorite things to cook would be pies and cakes. I just got brave enough to try my first cheesecake and it was so easy. Friends and family raved over it so I think I'll venture into that a little more.
My favorite foods...there are so many. I really like German foods, as my grandmother was half German and I grew up eating lots of potato/sauerkraut/sausage stuff. My favorite restaurant would probably have to be the Biergarten at Epcot. Love it!
My husband and I recently discovered Venezuelan food at this wonderful little place in Orlando..love those plaintains, black beans and rice, and cachapas! YUM!
I absolutely love to eat, and with the holidays hanging around, you can tell it by looking at me. There are some foods I can't seem to get a taste for though, and those include mayonnaise, sushi, oysters, and veggies in jello..I have horrid memories of being made to eat that nasty carrot/raisin/jello concoction in preschool and kindergarten. I also just can't do milk or cottage cheese. I love the smell of cottage cheese, but the look of it is just too...umm...WHITE for me. I'll stick with cheeses and other dairy products for my calcium and vit. D, thank you.
