    About Me

I love to cook.  Learned from my grandmother (who actually cooked on a wood stove until the late 1960s, when I was in high school!)  Being the oldest of four children of two working parents, I did much of the cooking as I was growing up.

I have a large cookbook collection, including many community, church, Chamber of Commerce, etc. fundrasier-type booklets.

My partner and I have been together 30 years.  We are RV’ers, so I have had to learn to cook in a small kitchen while on the go.  I have found recipes here which are great for this, especially crockpot recipes.

UPDATE:  We are now both retired so looking forward to spending more time in our home away from home:

I collect depression glass and Early American Pressed Glass (EAPG).  I putter around in the garden, but as I get older, it gets harder to get down and do the weeding, so we have let much of the yard revert to native plantings, which is great for attracting birds and wildlife.

We have one cat, Ginger.   ( we lost our other one (Oscar) -he was 18 years old)  This is both of them.  Ginger is on the right. (she is 16)
