    About Me

With the demise of the forums and with no more interaction on site with what was a great community and it was a pleasure to get to know so many of you over the years and to have had the privilege of meeting some of you in person.  For me now this is just another recipe site like to many on the net, it has lost its specialness, such a pity especially when Scripps changed the name from Recipezaar to Food.com and made this statement.

We are a site that, at its core, is about two things: Food and community interaction. What better way to embody that spirit — our people and the conversations they're having around food — than with a name that says it all? Food.com is that name. It's who we are — we're Food + Com(mmunity)

I feel that Scripps have comitted genocide by getting rid of an active and interactive community, they say they are bringing back forums but they will not be interactive so that makes them no better than so many other recipe sites on the net where you can save your recipes and review others, they have lost their uniqueness in this move - their reason is their programmes where to old to handle it so why didn't they spend the money to let it continue so in my mind they really planned to get rid of the interactive forums in the long term and that is their excuse, so be it but I know for many of us we are putting our recipes elsewhere and we will no longer contribute to food.com unless we have too

Unfortunately I have too much invested in this site so I am forced to still use it with great reluctance.
