I'm a teacher with not much time to cook... but a girl's gotta eat, so I cook anyway. I like my food better than spending lots to go out! I'm a very creative cook -- the type who wants to make something, reads 4-5 different recipes, decides what's essential, then closes the recipes and improvises. It works for me most of the time, though sometimes I do buckle down and follow recipes to the letter. Happy tinkering!
All vegetables. Really, there are none I do not eat. I also love Costa Rican food (I grew up there), southern food (born in Kentucky), all Asian cuisines, and random lesser-known foods like quinoa and tamarind. Nothing beats a summer-ripe heirloom tomato. Unfortunately my body rebelled against dairy products over the course of my 20s and I can no longer eat them. I have been experimenting with substitutions, but mostly they don't live up to the real thing (except coconut milk products, yum).
