Reviewed Moosewood Restaurant's Fat Free Carrot Cake

"This is a very easy to make and extremely tasty - very satisfying considering it's quite healthy! I make muffins rather than cake but either way it takes a while to cook and you walk a fine line between under cooked and getting a dry sponge so I'd recommend cooking slowly and checking often! Great recipe though, thanks. x"

    Reviewed Quickie Tom Yum Soup

"I'm sorry but I won't be making this again. It was quick and easy and with the addition of a little fish sauce, sugar and a lot more fresh coriander was alright but nothing to rave about. I was dubious about the 2 tablespoons of pepper and so used 2 teaspoons but that was still too much. Maybe I used the wrong kind, as black or white isn't stated. ..."

    Reviewed Best Fried Chicken

"This is very tasty and easy to make. The chicken is very succulent and the batter extremelly crispy! I will definitely use this recipe again - the chicken soup really enhances the flavour - but the next time I'll use a tray for the flouring instead of a bag as there's a lot of waste and I'll probably use larger quantities of seasoning, just because..."

    About Me

I live in Huddersfield, Yorkshire, which is in North England. I used to teach French and German to Highschool kids but now I have the much more relaxing job of driving instructor. For fun I cook (and eat... not good for the figure I know but who cares?!) and I'm also a bit of a movie buff and love surfing the web for all the delicious looking things I spy in American movies.

    Favorite Foods

I love ALL kinds of food and will try anything once. I don't really have favourites as far as food is concerned but I do have very specific cravings which just have to be satisfied..they're usually on a Friday night and result in me phoning for chinese take-out! I love to bake anything I can get a good recipe for, especially if it features cinnamon in some form and would probably cook either Italian or Indian style food if I wanted to spend the whole day in the kitchen cooking up a storm.
