    About Me

    I am a mother of 2 teenagers who are very picky eaters and a toddler who is just figuring out what he actually likes to eat. What one likes the other hates. Go figure :). I learned to cook growing up in Louisiana. My mother had hand me down recipes from many generations back. I now live in Northern Idaho and love it! My friends up here love my cooking because of the flavors. My very first cookbook was my Grandmothers 'Joy of Cooking', now I have a more current version of it and use it often. That and 'Better Homes and Gardens New Cookbook' are my favorites. I know they are basic but you have to start somewhere! Many things I make, I do on the fly...I don't follow recipies, I just throw things together. So many of my recipies here, please feel free to play with. Change to fit your tastes. And have fun!

    Favorite Foods

    Gosh, where to start? Spicy foods are a favorite. I suppose that is from my upbringing. I love to try different things. It helps me to see what is out there! Oh Indian food is the best! I love curry and other spices. My brother-in-law is the most amazing cook. He comes from Africa and everything he has ever made has been excellent. Now just to weasle the recipes off of him so I can post them for everyone!
