    About Me

    I'm a mom and wife with an empty nest. I was never very interested in cooking since everyone else in the family cooks. I'm trying to improve my skills for a variety of reasons, good health being one. I record cooking shows to play back while on the treadmill. I'm retired now so I have time to focus on knitting and yard work - and being a better cook. I live out in the country, 45 - 60 minutes from town, so planning and being organized is helpful when I do make that trip for groceries. For that reason I really appreciate the special features that Recipezaar has to offer.

    Favorite Foods

    Honestly, I will eat anything that's put in front of me. Well, at least a bite. I'm also a victim of the "clean your plate" mentality and have learned to keep a set of smaller plates on hand. I confess I have a hard time resisting when I'm a guest and the cook says, "Have some more."

    I do love vegies and fruits. I like lamb, fish, poultry,and a little pork and beef. Sweets! I'm a lazy cook, but I love watching my husband's cousin, Linda, cook. It's like sitting with a drink and watching Giada whip up a great meal for everyone. She inspires me!
