    About Me

My name is Mary Marshall. My greatest claim to fame is my son, Chef Mark Hendricks. My greatest accomplishment is letting that kid up to the stove when he was a boy.

I have other accomplishments, believe it or not. Like three other kids (2 girls, 1 boy...a "blended" family.) Everyone's grown and gone from home. Now, "the kids" are Sassy and Benji, two ultra-spoiled Maltese. In the occupation department, I'm a struggling children's author. The earning half of the family is Wes, an electrical engineer. Love that man!

Yes, I love to cook. No, I can't eat a lot of it anymore, as I'm diabetic. But, I'll share some recipes here with you and frequent your low carb area for new ideas.

    Favorite Foods

I like to cook quick and easy since there are only two of us at home now. It's fun, though, when lots of family's here and we can have a family dinner. Mostly, that happens during the holidays. We have everyone who's in town to our house both Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I love to make snack foods and desserts. Oh, and Tex Mex and Italian, too! My meatloaf is a family classic, but when my kids come home, they seem to want my homemade pimento cheese. My mac and cheese is popular, too...when Mark's not around. I have to admit, he has me beat!
