I live in Evans, Georgia, which is outside of Augusta. I am a stay at home mom to two beautiful, bright, and busy daughters. I have always cooked, but in an effort to be waist and budget conscious, I am cooking even more. I am trying to incorporate more healthy choices into my cooking. I generally substitute reduced fat ingredients whenever possible. I have found that Food.com is absolutely the best place to find recipes. I am trying to gradually add some of my recipes to Food.com
I absolutely love cookbooks. I can sit and read a cookbook for hours. I love my Betty Crocker cookbook and the Ultimate Southern Living cookbook is a great resource. My grandfather was a cook, by trade, so I have all of his "institutional cookbooks" dating back to the 1940's. I don't plan on cooking for the masses anytime soon, but I love the collection. I also have all of my grandmother's cookbooks and recipes. She raised five sons, so cooking was a necessity!
I am pretty much a fan of all foods! My husband is a pizza fanatic, so I don't mind indulging in good pizza every couple of weeks.
I do not like fresh tomatoes. I know, I am weird - I will eat tomato in pretty much any form, except fresh!
