"I needed a make-ahead dish that would use up leftover cubed roast lamb and this recipe was a fabulous source of inspiration! My lamb was made with garlic, rosemary, and red wine. I saved all the au jus, so I used it in place of the liquid, added tomato paste and reduced it.

"As per another poster's "error" I put all the lemon juice in the cake batter with 1/4 cup of light sour cream (no buttermilk) - holy lemon-lovin' smokes! Baked it in a 9 x 13 glass pan (about 45 minutes) and glazed it with a lemony butter glaze - made this for a friend's 60th birthday dinner...twas a hit!

"Needed a quick recipe for a last-minute event - WOW! I used 1/4 cup LESS sugar, 3/4 TABLESPOON vanilla, and I rolled the 24 cookie balls (made 'em a touch larger) in the 1/4 cup of sugar saved from recipe. Since I'm at a higher elevation I baked for 11 minutes at 375 degrees.
