I live in S.California about 30 mins outside of Palm Springs in the Hi-Desert. I have two daughters ages 26 & 30 and 2 Granddaughters born Dec. 10, 2004 and July 13, 2011.
I share my home with my SO, a wonderful guy that is my best friend and our "fur kids" Dolos, a F-2 Bengal, Echo, a F-2 Savannah, Gretchen a Miniature Schnauzer, lastly, Monte, a 36 lb bassett/doxie mix, the vet has no sense of humor and says we need to work on his weight issues.
I spent 13 years as a Licensed Funeral Director/Branch Manager and Cemetery Broker for a Mortuary/Crematory/Cemetery. Now, I work as a Community Liaison for a Non-profit Home Health and Hospice.
My sister, Karen from Colorado introduced me to Zaar. She's been at Zaar almost from the start and even worked for them for a while! Now, she content just to be a forum host. Zaar is a great place to expand my cooking abilities and to meet wonderful people. I have a tendency to cook by taste, so I don't post many recipes unless I think about it and measure as I go.
In my spare time (what little there is!) I enjoy riding my Harley Davidson Fat Boy, reading, entertaining friends or just a quiet evening at home with my man. We enjoy taking our boat to Lake Havasu and it's a favorite way to spend the summer weekends.
I like quick easy dishes that are inexpensive for everyday meals, but I love to entertain friends often and will spend hours cooking for a dinner party. I try to follow a low carb lifestyle when possible, some days are better than others. I don't cook as much as I use to with our conflicting and busy work schedules.
