"Excellent recipe.. The only modification were substituted 4 ounces of frozen baby sweet peas for mushrooms, used 2 5 -ounce cans of Chunlight tuna in water, and crumbled a couple handfuls of Ritz crackers to the topping. The diced celery plus diced onions really add to the flavor. A keeper. Thanks for sharing the recipe"

"Simply amazing flavor. My pickiest soup eater noted it was delicious. First time I've used fresh basil in recipe - wow! Did chop 2 celery stalks and also diced 1/2 onion which I added at the beginning to the soup. Thank you for posting the recipe."

"Delicious soup. Since I knew that I wanted leftovers for work, I added another cup of water, and proportionately increased the veggies in the soup. Like others, I added 1/2 cup of red wine. Also, this recipe allowed me to sneak in some spinach into a meal to unsuspecting parties who just devoured the soup. Thank you for the recipe!"

Also added crushed red pepper flakes (1/8 tsp plus 4 drops of tabasco sauce like some have suggested. Served over white rice in a bowl. Next time, I'll try 1lb shrimp and 1lb sausage combo. Good accompanied by sweet tea or cold..."

"Delicious week day meal. The only changes like others were a can of Rotel tomatoes with chilies added to the drained meat (ground turkey plus only used 4 large flour tortillas. College fershman daughter remarked it was like a 7 layer burrito in a casserole as she was going back for a second helping. Thanks for the recipe."

"Awesome recipe. Had 6 thick large pork chops. Due to size, my cooking time was about 1 minute longer per side. My wife declared the best pork chops ever served in our household. Also any easy weekday recipe. Let chops marinate for 1 hour. Thank you for the recipe!"
